#SPORTS NEWS:Mourinho to use Gary Neville and Ryan Giggst Hotel (HOTEL FOOTBALL) ahead of European home games
Manchester United are set to approach Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs over using their hotel as a base before Champions League home matches, according to reports. The Red Devils have struggled to get to Old Trafford on time for their last two European encounters, against Valencia and Juventus, due to heavy traffic around the stadium. They usually travel from the Lowry, in the city centre, but switched to the Hilton, which is just a short walk away from the stadium, though even that did not suffice as Jose Mourinho was forced to get off the team bus and walk to Old Trafford.
And now The Sun claim Mourinho wants United to ask to use Hotel Football – which is owned by Giggs and Neville – due to its ideal location directly opposite Old Trafford. United’s players would have no problems getting to the stadium on time, given that it is just a few yards away, and would avoid any further potential fines.
United are reviewing their pre-match arrangements after once again being caught out by the traffic ahead of facing Juventus last month, with the Italian side also delayed. There could be one big stumbling block, though, with Neville and Giggs having no problem fully booking out Hotel Football around big matchdays.
Speaking about the situation for the Juve game, Mourinho said: ‘The players are on the bus for 45 minutes. And I walked, with a hoodie, in the middle of the fans, nobody recognised me. ‘I took two minutes, and what I did in two minutes walking the players cannot do in 45 minutes on the bus.’ United are in action again against Juventus on Tuesday in Turin, with their next European home match coming against Young Boys at the end of November.
